As the news about COVID-19 (coronavirus) and its unprecedented effects evolves, we’re learning that being informed and prepared are essential. Thus, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak according to the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and taking the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of our customers, colleagues and employees.
As this is an emerging, rapidly changing situation, I wanted to personally reach out to you and provide an update on the actions that WENDT is taking to help protect our employees and customers.
Starting tomorrow, we will be maximizing social distancing by instituting a work-from-home policy for a significant number of our employees. Anyone working from home is equipped with the technology and tools to fulfill operational capabilities remotely, including resources to host virtual meetings.
This is an extension of our business travel restriction, which includes all unnecessary travel. The same level of high-quality productivity will be achieved virtually by hosting regularly scheduled meetings to meet deadlines.
Staff essential for operational and production needs will remain in place. With a fully functional customer support team, there are no current changes in our shipping and logistics capabilities. We will also be closely monitoring our supply chain. Our goal remains to continue providing our customers with the products and services they need to stay productive.
