WENDT CORPORATION is proud to announce its 40th anniversary in business. From our humble beginnings in the garage and basement of our founder, Thomas A. Wendt’s home, to over 100 employees in two locations, we owe this monumental milestone and our success to our customers and our dedicated employees, business partners and suppliers.
WENDT CORPORATION was formed on July 15, 1977 by Thomas A. Wendt to initially provide parts and service, engineering and consulting services to the scrap metal recycling industry. Although these core values remain, Thomas A Wendt’s entrepreneurial vision of becoming a manufacturer would come to fruition. Today, WENDT, still family owned and operated, has grown into a world-leading manufacturer and systems integrator of automobile shredding and non-ferrous separation equipment.
Throughout our 40 years, we’ve had the opportunity of working on many important projects and have manufactured and installed equipment all over the world. However, it’s the unique and creative solutions that have exceeded customers’ expectations along withthe relationships we’ve made and maintained over the years that truly provides the most satisfaction.
“This milestone is a testament to WENDT’s commitment to continued product and process innovation, responsive customer service, manufacturing efficiencies and creative, ahead-of-the-curve thinking in a fast-paced industry. The hard work and dedication of the people throughout our entire organization has grown WENDT into the brand name it has become. We look forward to continuing our tradition of quality equipment and service for the next 40 years,” said Thomas A. Wendt, Founder and Chairman of WENDT CORPORATION.
To commemorate the occasion, the company hosted a dinner party on Saturday, July 15th, 40 years to the day of when the company was formed, for employees and business partners. The evening also included the presentation of a 200-page WENDT history book to its attendees. The book, comprised of over 600 photographs, documents the early history of WENDT from its formation to the organization that it has become today.
