WENDT CORPORATION continues to grow and we are always looking for talented individuals to add to our organization. WENDT CORPORATION is currently filling the following positions:

 

Three Shop Supervisors
• One to lead Material Handling, Paint Shop, Burn Table, Press Brake, and Service Parts Manufacturing. This position will be responsible for shop operations in building 2 and the yard.
• One to lead the Assembly department and the Machine Shop. The position will be responsible for building 4.
• One to lead eFab and the saw cutting operations. This position will be responsible for building 1.

• Here is a brief description of the essential functions for this job:
• The safety of yourself, your direct reports, and all the people you work with.
• Identify and understand critical path scheduling requirements in order to ensure work is assigned in an efficient and productive manner.
• Plan work for today, tomorrow, and the future to ensure material and staffing is available to achieve results required.
• Collaborate effectively with other supervisors and managers to share resources in order to achieve goals.
• Understand and attain key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to your work areas. KPI’s such as; on-time delivery, quality, safety, and margin (budget).
• Ensure you and your staff are following company policies at all times.
• Interface daily with schedules, dashboards, our ERP system, email, and other means of communication.
• Ensure your area of responsibility is clean, organized, and 6S compliant at all times.
• In addition to consistent and clear coaching, also provide annual reviews of your staff members.
• Assist staff members with individual career development.
• Provide clear, consistent, and professional communication with your staff, colleagues, and upper management.
• Perform your role as an individual contributor in such a manner so that it sets the bar for others to follow.
• The ability to work more than 40 hours per week as needed to assure completion of work.
• Work outdoors in all four seasons.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Post high school degrees and/or certifications in vocational studies, business, and/or management preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, or equivalent
• Experience in a direct supervisory role preferred

Design Engineer
• Utilize mastery of solid modeling skills to design, assemble, engineer, and detail models.
• Work with Project Management to ensure products are released and available in a timely matter to meet project schedule.
• Apply strong working knowledge of physics and analytical mathematics to engineer and design quality products that meet specification and costing goals.
• Provide technical support to the manufacturing team and foster an environment that encourages suggestions and product improvements from the manufacturing team.
• Produce high quality drawings to company standards.
• Able to both create designs from scratch as well as derivative designs from existing products.
• Employ Design for Manufacturing (DFM) rules to achieve maximum cost benefit to produce parts and assemblies.
• Leverage commonality and library components to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Effectively support and strengthen the company’s positive brand image in both written and verbal communications with clients, colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• Light travel, both domestically and internationally.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar curriculum or equivalent work experience is required.
• 5 years practical work experience in a related field is required.

Electrical Engineer
• Design of electrical schematics and other project documents using AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• Development of quotes for new sales and service opportunities.
• Provide direct technical support to customers and colleagues in the field. Ensure customer satisfaction at all times as a priority.
• Onsite and remote PLC programming.
• System design and calculations.
• Efficiently manage multiple active projects at varying stages of progress.
• Up to 15% travel to customer sites, both domestic and internationally.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in schematic design using AutoCAD. AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
• PLC programming experience preferred.
• At least one year of experience with each of the following; electrical engineering analysis, supporting calculations, wire sizing, and voltages.
• Hands on experience as an electrician doing wiring and I/O check out work preferred.

Electrical Controls Engineer
• Conceptualize, engineer, specify, and commission control systems as a lead engineer.
• Design of electrical schematics and other project documents using AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• Onsite and remote PLC programming.
• Deliver training to end user customers.
• Provide direct technical support to customers and colleagues in the field. Ensure customer satisfaction at all times is a priority.
• Efficiently manage multiple active projects at varying stages of progress.
• Development of quotes for new sales and service opportunities.
• Up to 30% travel to customer sites, both domestic and internationally.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in schematic design using AutoCAD. AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
• Five (5) years PLC programming experience using Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 and RSLogix 500.
• Five (5) years of HMI touch screen programming and experience using RSView ME/SE.
• Five (5) years of Engineering experience designing and implementing electrical systems for large manufacturing or industrial equipment. Specific experience in the scrap metal, mining, or quarry industries preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience with each of the following; electrical engineering analysis, supporting calculations, wire sizing, and voltages.
• Experienced as an electrician doing wiring and I/O check out.
